Griffin Industries takes what no one else wants to deal with and renders it useful. As one of the largest independent rendering companies in the US, Griffin Industries gathers the inedible scraps and waste from meat-processing plants and large bakeries, used cooking oils from restaurants, and even just plain old dead farm animals. It then turns these into animal feed, fertilizer, tanned leather, solvents, industrial oils and fats, and biodiesel for vehicles (which it creates from spent cooking oil, so that vehicle using the fuel exhaust smells like French fries. Griffin Industries is owned and operated by the five sons of John and Rosellen Griffin, who founded the company in 1943.
