Spartan Foods of America makes and sells pizza crusts and refrigerated pancakes under the Mama Mary's brand name. The company's products are distributed through retail supermarkets nationwide. It also provides items to foodservice and private-label customers. Young Pecan Company
The Young Pecan Company is no youngster in the pecan business. Founded in the 1920s, the company is the largest pecan sheller in the world. It has factories in New Mexico and South Carolina, as well as in Mexico, where it shells approximately 100 million pounds of pecans per year. Young Pecan purchases pecans from growers located near its plants, and sells shelled pecans to domestic and international food manufacturing companies such as Kraft and General Mills. The company also sells gift packages of roasted, spiced, and chocolate-coated nuts at its two South Carolina retail stores and via its catalog and Web site. Young Pecan was founded by T. B. Young Sr.
